March 26th is Air Max Day and this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1.
In celebration of this, Nike is releasing a combination of retros and remixes all throughout the month of March. Eights pairs total will release in honor of the 30th anniversary.
The Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary is making its debut with the classic white / red as when it first released back in 1987; the women’s Nike Air Max Jewell, inspired by the Air Max Plus; Air Max 90 Ultra Flyknit; Air Max 1 atmos Elephant; Air Max LD-Zero; Air Max 1 Master; Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 LE and finally the new Air VaporMax, defined by a flexible Flyknit upper atop a radically reinvented Air cushioning system rounds out the lineup.
First up to release is the classic white / red Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary. The classic colorway designed by Tinker Hatfield returns with original detailing and a shape inspired by “Golden Era” releases from the turn of the millennium. Made up of mesh with synthetics and suede, the model is topped off with the signature full length air max- cushioned sole unit.
Retailing at $140, you can purchase the Air Max 1 Anniversary at select Nike retailers starting March 4th.
